Description
Summer track practices at Yorktown High School Track. Kids can expect to run 1-3 miles total, depending on the day.
Activities included:
- Form work
- Drills and other dynamic warm-ups
- Practice races
- Pace management work
- Stair repeats
These practices are geared toward kids who are ready to improve their running form and efficiency. We will have fun, but we will also work hard. This is not a running games practice.
These practices will be run as small groups (this page is only being sent to a select number of parents). Good sportsmanship is expected of all kids (and parents!). Practices will be held either early morning or late afternoon to avoid the worst of the heat. Please send your kid(s) with ample water, however!
