Orangetheory Fitness Run for Henry 5k/1 Mile

Sun May 31, 2020 Directions

2020 run for henry cancelled

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that we will not be able to gather together for the 3rd annual Run for Henry on May 31st. The 5k and fun run at Central Park Kids Castle have been cancelled to ensure the safety of Henry’s friends, family, and the general public.

Although we will not all be together on that day we will keep this event active and celebrate this day in remembrance of our ‘Chubby Boy’ Henry.  Please consider joining us that day as we will run remotely. You can join us in a 5k, walk a mile, take a stroll with your dog (woof woofs to Henry), have a drink, bake a cake (Henry’s choice), or just take the time to do some good deeds for the people in your life. We just ask that you do it in remembrance of our sweet boy. We would love to see pictures or videos from all of you on May 31 celebrating Henry in your own way.

For those able please consider making a donation to the SUDC in Henry’s name. https://sudc.org/henry/

We will be contacting those already registered via RunSignUp for your refund.

Keep your calendars marked for May 31st, 2020 for “Henry Day at Home!”

Description

We cordially invite you to participate as a runner, walker, virtual runner and/or sponsor of the 3rd Annual Orangetheory Fitness Run for Henry 5k/1 Mile Family Fun Run or Walk on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at 9:00 am.

The event will raise money to support the SUDC Foundation sudc.org. As you may or may not know, Henry was loved and well known in the Orangetheory Fitness community as the grandson of Bob Ferrall, Philadelphia Area Developer, and son of Colleen and Matt Chiaramonte. Unfortunately, Henry passed unexpectedly in his sleep at the age of 21 months. Henry brought joy wherever he went. He loved playing outside, blowing kisses, waving to planes and trucks, dancing like a monkey, and saying hi to any "woof woof" he came across. For this reason, we would like to support the SUDC Foundation as they are dedicated to increasing the awareness of sudden unexpected deaths in childhood and funding crucial research to better understand and prevent these tragedies.

The event will be held on Sunday May 31, 2020 at Central Park in Doylestown, PA. Our day will kick off at 9am with the 1 mile Family Run or Walk. The 5K Run will start at 9:30am. Awards will be given to the top finishers of the 5K. We hope to attract over 500 participants this year (and grow each year!).

Advanced packet pick-up location and time will be announced shortly

***PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT WE ARE OFFERING A "VIRTUAL RUNNER" OPTION THIS YEAR FOR THOSE THAT WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE, "RACE' OR WALK  AND DONATE TO THE SUDC FOUNDATION BUT ARE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND THE "ACTUAL" RUN IN CENTRAL PARK!  LOOK FOR THE "VIRTUAL RACE" REGISTRATION OPTION!

Your sponsorship helps to defray the cost of organizing the event. Funds received from sponsorships will be used to purchase tshirts, awards, and complimentary drinks and snacks for registered participants. Any additional money raised from sponsorships will go towards our fundraising goal. There will be 3 levels of sponsorship for the OTF Run for Henry 5K/1m. Size and  placement of logos on t-shirts and web site are based on sponsorship level.
