Description

The Fergus Falls YMCA is bringing back the Hoot Lake Triathlon this year!
The Triathlon starts with a ¼ mile swim on the beautiful Hoot Lake 1 mile northeast of Fergus Falls. The 15.7-mile bike route follows scenic rolling country roads. You will finish the race with a 3.3-mile run on city and trail byways.

Cost: 
        Early Bird Special--March 15th - April 30th:

        Regular registration--May 1st - July 28th: | $85 Individual | $120 Relay Team

You must be registered by July 5th to receive a race t-shirt. 

Packet Pickup will be available on the 3rd at the YMCA in Fergus Falls, as well as before the race. 

Pre-Race meeting will be held at 7:00AM sharp.

Course:
Swim: 1/4 mile open water swim in Hoot Lake
Bike: 15.7 miles, all right hand turns, limited traffic control. All cyclists must observe Minnesota traffic laws. Certified hard-shelled bike helmets are required. Drafting is prohibited.
Run: 3.3 miles

Event Schedule:
6:00AM-7:00AM: Check-in and packet pick-up at Hoot Lake Public Access. All participants must be marked and attend pre-race meeting at 7:00AM.
7:30AM: Race Start
AWARDS: Following the last finisher. Results will be posted on www.fergusfallsymca.org and www.pickleevents.com

Race Requirements:
All participants will be marked with race numbers. Swimmers must wear swim caps (Provided by YMCA). Wet suits are allowed. Bikers must wear ANSI-approved helmets. (No drafting on the bike course. ) We will allow life jackets.

Awards:
The top male and top female finishers will receive a 1st overall award. Awards for the first three places for males and females in each one of the following age groups:

  • 19 and under
  • 20-29
  • 30-39
  • 40-49
  • 50-59
  • 60-69
  • 70 and over

Relay Awards: top three places for each relay division (Male, Female, Mixed)
