Description
On Sunday, September 25, 2016, AUSA, the Capital Warrior Battalion Student Association, the Student Association of Army ROTC Cadets at IUPUI, and Heartland Endurance Sports have joined forces, creating The AUSA Indy Ten Miler Benefitting the Capital Warrior Student Association. Come join us for a chip-timed, 10 mile run in downtown Indianapolis.
This is a premiere, competitive, chip-timed race in a favorite distance of many military branches and civilian running groups. This is a fast, flat race, and should be good for a PR. All finishers receive a medal, and prizes will be handed out for top three in all age groups (currently defined as 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
The race will start and finish at IUPUI, near Carroll Stadium and NIFS on the practice field between Carroll Stadium and the Natatorium, and will visit art exhibits and monuments on the Canal Walk. Points of interest include the USS Indianapolis Monument, the Congressional Medal of Honor Memorial, featured art by Kyler Ragsdale, and the commemorative 9/11 monument that reads, “We Will Never Forget”. Other parts of the course include the Riverwalk Promenade and the White River Trail System.

The Capital Warrior Ten-Miler will feature $800 in cash awards for the 10 mile distance.
