Details

You will follow the last runner out on the course who will be finishing the race in the 1 hour and 30minute time limit until they finish. You will also inform all of the volunteers that you are following the last participant and that they are free to go once you have passed by them.

You will be leading the runners along the race route and once done will go back out on the course to monitor it for safety issues regarding cars that may have gotten on the course, etc. ***previous lead bike experience preferred

You will help distribute bibs and shirts to race participants, and will also sell guest and VIP passes to the after party at the Great South Bay Brewery in Bay Shore. You will help unwrap and set up the medals which will then be given to the runners after they cross the finish line. Once the last runner crosses at 10am you will help clean up the area.

Clean-up

Refreshment Volunteer High Priority

Details

You will assist with setting up our refreshment area once the race begins and helping to monitor its distribution as the participants come through the area. Refreshments may include: heroes, bagels, fruit, soda, etc.

You will then assist the Captain with clean-up.

Water Stop

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

You will be assigned to a location on the course where you will set up the area to hand out water to the runners as they pass by. Our set up crew will have dropped off the supplies which will include tables, cups, water, garbage receptacles, and rakes. There will be a trail walker following the last runner who will let you know when the last runner has passed. You will then clean up the area and leave the supplies at the stop for our set up crew to pack up.
If you are over 21 you will be able to attend the after party at the Brewery.

You will be collecting money at the door to enter the party at $40 per person, and to add on for the VIP room at $30 per person.
