Farm Frenzy-Cracker Box Palace-Run for the Animals

Farm Frenzy- Run for the Animals- is an annual fund raising event created to raise much needed dollars just before the snow flies here in Upstate New York.  It provides funds to buy hay, bedding, feed and medical supplies to keep our animals healthy and happy throughout the winter months. 

This year is going to be a themed event:  "Old McDonald Had a Farm".  We want you to dress up like your favorite farm animal and attend this fun walk/run.  It will be less about achieving your personal best and more about having fun while raising money for a good cause.  Come out and join us all piggies, horses, cows, and chicken.  Awards for the best costumes in various age groups and a picnic lunch to follow.

Cracker Box Palace is a registered not for profit farm animal haven opened in 2000 and is home to up to 300 surrendered, abused, abandoned, neglected or retired farm type animals or those who just need a new home due their owner’s life circumstances. Animals brought to the Palace are quarantined; health checked by veterinarians, immunized, put on a recommended feed program and provided physical therapy.  They are rehabilitated, trained and eventually available for adoption or foster care to approved new families. 

 We are a no-kill shelter where our residents can spend the rest of their lives loved and in peace should their condition not allow them to be adopted. 

We provide an educational place for kids (young and old) to learn about animals, farm life, conservation and responsibility of owning any animal.  We also provide our volunteers with the opportunity to work with an animal of their choice… an animal that many people don’t have the resources to keep, like a horse, goat, chicken, rabbit or pig.
